Student services and support programs

Some students experience learning problems within the school and also at home.  

These problems are referred through the school’s administration or Inclusive Education Committee to determine an appropriate intervention.

Our Support Personnel:

  • Literacy and Numeracy (Teacher)

  • Guidance Officer

  • Speech Language Pathologist

  • Behaviour Support (Teacher)

  • English as a Second Language (Teacher)

  • Visual; Physical; Hearing Impairment (Teachers)

  • School Chaplains

 ​Our Chaplaincy Service Provides:
  • Pastoral care to students, their families and staff in difficult situations such as during times of grief or when students are facing personal or emotional challenges.
  • Access to support agencies in the community
  • An environment of cooperation and mutual respect while supporting and promoting the school values.
  • Our chaplaincy service is a highly accessed and utilised ‘human’ resource open to all students, staff and members of the school community.

​Our Special Education Program (SEP) 

The Specialist Teachers and Teacher Aides lead by ​​Head of Special Education Services (HOSES)  
The SEP provides support for students with a verified disability in the areas of:
  • Intellectual impairment

  • Physical impairment

  • Hearing impairment

  • Vision impairment

  • Speech language impairment

  • Autism spectrum disorder

Parents should discuss any concerns with the class teacher, administration or the support teacher if they feel their child is in need of specialist support.
